Our natural loofah is a plastic free alternative to traditional plastic shower puffs or body polishers. Simply soak them in water to soften, and lather up with your favourite soap bar! Using a natural loofah body sponge is an excellent eco-friendly choice that aligns with sustainable living. Unlike synthetic sponges, natural loofahs are 100% biodegradable and compostable, meaning they won’t contribute to plastic pollution or landfill waste. Made from the fibrous skeleton of the loofah plant, these sponges are entirely plant-based and free from harmful chemicals, making them safe for both your skin and the environment. Care instructions for your exfoliating body sponge

Rinse thoroughly after each use to remove soap and debris. Squeeze out excess water and hang it in a well-ventilated area to dry completely between uses, which helps prevent mould and mildew. For deeper cleaning, soak the loofah in a mixture of warm water and a few drops of vinegar or baking soda for 5-10 minutes weekly, then rinse and dry. You can also machine wash on a gentle cycle. Proper care of your loofah ensures a safe, refreshing, and invigorating skincare routine. When the loofah reaches the end of its life, it can be composted or used for household cleaning.

Please note: we send our natural luffas out compressed flat, but they puff up to full size once wet!
