Each bamboo cotton swab features a sturdy, biodegradable stem and soft cotton tips, packaged in a recycled cardboard box with approximately 200 sticks inside. These plastic free ear buds are perfect for eco-conscious households aiming to reduce waste without compromising on quality.
Why switch to bamboo cotton swabs?
In October 2020, the UK banned single-use plastic cotton buds to help reduce plastic waste and protect the environment. Traditional plastic buds take hundreds of years to break down and often end up polluting waterways and harming marine life. Bamboo cotton swabs, on the other hand, are biodegradable and compostable. Bamboo is a fast-growing, renewable resource that naturally decomposes without leaving behind harmful residues — making it the perfect alternative for a greener lifestyle.
Uses for plastic free ear buds
These bamboo cotton swabs are ideal for a variety of daily tasks. Use them to gently clean the outer ears, apply or remove makeup, clean hard-to-reach corners, or even in arts and crafts. Unlike plastic versions, these bamboo cotton buds won’t linger in landfills or pollute oceans. You can compost them after use or dispose of them in your general waste knowing they’ll break down naturally.
Note: Do not insert into the ear. Store in a cool and dry place. Store your cotton buds in an upcycled glass jar or tin to keep them clean and accessible!
